The GPT is a Massive network of trails between Chile and Argentina. The trail's creator, Jan Dudeck, has done an amazing job of curating a ton of different options that can be strung together in a choose-your-own-adventure style. I could see myself doing this as one thru-hike or as mini side quests on my Pan-American Highway adventure.
"It’s a stunningly beautiful and diverse trail system that guides you from the semi-desert of the Precordillera into scenic Andes valleys. The trails cross numerous dormant and active volcanoes with partially healed volcanic scars and fresh open wounds from recent eruptions. You can take a dip in more than a dozen hot springs along the way to draw from this energy."
